Job Summary:

Perform and Coordinate installation of operating system, hardware, and other software on servers. Maintain IT infrastructure.

Primary Duties:

  • Manage IT Help Desk
  • Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
  • Support and maintain end user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance and training.
  • Maintain, monitor, and analyze system components, monitor network, computer, and disk utilization.
  • Maximize system availability and performance through fault-tolerant configuration, efficient network architecture, and proactive server monitoring.
  • Perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT.
  • Conduct software and hardware evaluations and provide technical analysis to meet the company’s IT goals.
  • Work with a team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Work after normal production hours when necessary.
  • Maintain professionalism, good attitude, and appropriate behavior.
  • Communicate with Co-workers and upper management
  • Install Cabling and Fiber as needed with proper terminations.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • 4+ years experience with Microsoft Windows Administration, 3+ years in Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016 environment supporting 40+ users, experience with group policies: software, security, login and logout functions, support of remote users via VPN technologies.
  • 2+ years of experience operating Windows Server Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of virtual environments
  • Must have practical exposure to storage and data management products, Intel based servers and storage and NAS technologies.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and a willingness to lend a hand with any project.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, Sit, Stand, Walk, Bend, Twist, Reach, Lift and Grasp
  • May be sitting, standing, or walking for prolonged periods of time.
