Northern Electric Cooperative is seeking a Communications Specialist to lead the daily communications and community outreach efforts of the cooperative. The Communications Specialist is responsible for writing and editing content for the co-op’s monthly newsletter, managing the cooperative’s social media presence and website, and organizing and promoting all Northern Electric Cooperative member and community events. Proficiency in standard computer software such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint is essential. Occasional overnight travel and work outside normal office hours may be required.
Qualified applicants should be outgoing, self-motivated and have the ability to express ideas clearly and creatively in both written and oral communications. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing. Two years of experience in a communications or public relations field is preferred.
